The U.S. bank is expanding in Switzerland by recruiting an investment banking veteran from Rothschild & Co.

Bank of America is hiring Vincent Thiebaud as head of its investment banking activities in Switzerland, effective mid-year, it said in an emailed statement. Thiebaud is a veteran dealmaker who has spent the past four years building a Swiss corporate finance arm at Rothschild & Co.

Thiebaud, a familiar face on the Swiss deal scene from stints with J.P. Morgan as well as Credit Suisse, is to push Swiss strategy and growth forward for the Charlotte, NC-based bank. He will be joined by Brooke Wachtel (pictured below), who Bofa is naming its head of corporate banking for Switzerland.
