The former head of Pictet's business with wealthy clients is taking on an additional board role at Credit Suisse, where he will replace Chairman Urs Rohner at its domestic unit.

Credit Suisse is nominating Christian Gellerstad to the board of its bank in Switzerland, it said in a statement on Tuesday. Ring-fenced from its wider activities, the domestic bank will hold its shareholder meeting on April 30, in parallel to the parent's.

He replaces Urs Rohner, the chairman of Credit Suisse who is departing at the annual meeting. Rohner sat on the Swiss subsidiary as well, as an ordinary director. The parent bank is mired in twin scandals over Greensill and Archegos which have led to an «no-holds-barred» strategy review, to be overseen by António Horta-Osório, due to replace Rohner.

  • Peter Derendinger (chairman)
  • Patrizia Pesenti (vice-chairman)
  • Christoph Brunner (presides audit committee)
  • Christian Camenzind (presides risk committee)
  • Thomas Gottstein, CEO of parent Credit Suisse
