The German bank is looking to expand its distribution of Swiss equities. It is hiring the former branch manager of Jefferies in Zurich to do so.

Deutsche Bank's Swiss arm is hiring Maurizio Ramondetta to oversee its equity franchise sales out of Zurich, according to an internal memo seen by finews.com. Ramondetta was head of equities for Switzerland at Jefferies as well as managing its Zurich branch until 2019. After leaving the U.S. investment bank last year, he completed a continuing education program.

Before Jefferies, Ramondetta worked in equity sales for both RBS and ABN Amro. he will report to Leonardo Doser, who joined Deutsche Bank in January from UBS as head of markets distribution in Switzerland.
