The Swiss bank’s long-standing treasurer is joining a risk management boutique, after a time-out as a musician and producer.

Orbit36 is appointing Claude Moser its vice-chairman, the Pfaeffikon, Switzerland-based firm said in a statement on Tuesday. Moser was the Swiss bank's treasurer until the end of 2019, and one of several hundred top UBS managing directors.

The move reunites him with former colleagues Andreas Ita and Robin Dutt. The duo launched their firm last year, while Moser, a 55-year-old Swiss banker who joined UBS in 1989, spent the last two years pursuing musical interests.

Speeding Growth Targets.

At Orbit36, he will become a senior advisor and manage key client relationships. The consulting firm advises banks and insurers on strategic planning as well as risk and capital management.

The boutique adviser said Moser will help it into new client segments and reach growth targets faster. The ex-UBS heavyweight will oversee a training for board directors of banks that Orbit36 is also launching.
