CMS is hiring the Swiss attorney who runs PwC's legal banking, fintech, and blockchain practice in Switzerland.

The Frankfurt-based law firm named Tina Balzli as a partner and head of its finance and blockchain practice, effective immediately, according to a statement on its website on Thursday. Also known as «Token Tina» for her extensive blockchain experience, Balzli spent the last four years at PwC, the last two as head of its legal practice for the segment.

She was previously with two white-collar law firms in Zurich – Baer & Karrer and Walder Wyss – and has represented financial institutions in dealings with authorities, such as Switzerland's financial market regulator, Finma. She is also a published author and has been a guest lecturer at the ZHAW school of management.

Balzli holds a holds a masters in law from the University of Freiburg in Switzerland as well as in the U.S. as well as a masters in corporate and financial Services law from the National University of Singapore.
