The Italian capital markets veteran is a group managing director who currently oversees UBS' financial resources management, a role created in 2018 in response to regulatory requirements which had taken him deeper into finance and reporting to Gardner.

Sambo was previously part of UBS' investment bank, where he oversaw structuring of debt capital markets and client solutions.
