The Swiss wealth manager is partnering with insurer Baloise on a joint effort aimed at property owners in Switzerland.

Zurich-based UBS is teaming its mortgage platforms, Atrium and Key4, with the Basel-based insurer for financing, insurance, and maintenance of residential property, the two said in a statement on Wednesday. The move is a bid to win a bigger part of the home-buying and -owning process, the companies said.

Dubbed «home and living» will be based on existing offerings from Baloise and UBS, one of Switzerland's largest mortgage lender by volume, and «prospective equity investments of both companies and potential further partnerships with third parties,» the said. Both partner variously: UBS as well as Baloise are invested in Houzy, for example, as finews.com reported.

Baloise is a bit of an industry leader in doing so, having clinched past tie-ups or investments in Devis, Movu, Bubble Box, and Batmaid, in a effort to build a network of services. Neither Swiss firm detailed any of the financial or other terms of the newest partnership.
