Insurer Swiss Life is expanding its real-estate management business into the Nordics by buying a Norwegian real-estate asset manager.


Swiss Life Asset Managers has acquired the real estate business of Oslo-based Ness, Risan & Partners, the Swiss company said in a press release Tuesday.

The acquisition will expand Swiss Life Asset Managers’ geographical footprint and enhance its access to new investors in the Nordic region, the press release said.

The Norwegian acquisition will in operate under the Swiss Life Asset Managers brand.

Logistics Real Estate

NRP manages a varied portfolio of office, retail, and industrial properties across the region, with a strong emphasis on logistics properties. At the end of 2020 NRP had 11.4 billion Norwegian kroner ($1.3 billion) of assets under management or administration. At the same point, Swiss Life Asset Managers had 99.7 billion Swiss francs ($108.5 billion) of assets under management.
