Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management has taken on a healthcare-sector specialist.

Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management has taken on Sébastien Malafosse as an equity fund manager and co-manager of the Edmond de Rothschild Fund Healthcare with Adeline Salat-Baroux, the bank said in a press release late Thursday.

The fund manages just under 500 million euros ($589 million) in assets.

He will report to Christophe Foliot and Jacques-Aurélien Marcireau, the co-heads of equities based in Paris.

Malafosse has over 15 years of experience as a sell-side analyst on the healthcare sector.

He worked for Oddo BHF for nine years where he led the pharmaceuticals research team and in 2018 became executive director, corporate finance, and was involved in the financing of many biotech and meditech companies.

Before joining Oddo BHF he was responsible for mid-caps in the healthcare sector at Bryan, Garnier & Co. Between 2007 and 2010 he was a healthcare analyst specializing in pharmaceutical and biotechnology stocks at Natixis Securities.
