The Swiss bank is streamlining its home market under a sole leadership, leading to the exit of a Zurich veteran.

Zurich-based Julius Baer is appointing Gilles Stuck as market head of Switzerland, effective November 1, it said in a statement on Tuesday. Stuck replaces both Andreas Feller (pictured below) and Emmanuel Debons, currently responsible for German- and French-speaking domestic clients, respectively.

Feller, who has run its business with German-speaking clients in Switzerland since last year, is leaving the Swiss wealth manager as a result. Debons is staying, through in a demoted role as branch manager in Geneva.

Frequent Changes

Stuck is a three-year veteran of Julius Baer who currently oversees its structured lending. Julius Baer's Swiss arm has seen several leaders come and go in recent years including in 2016 Barend Fruithof.

The ex-Credit Suisse star was ousted in a management shuffle a short time later. In 2019, the wealth manager quietly wrapped the Swiss arm into a larger European division run by Yves Robert-Charrue.
