A key executive of N26 who also oversees the Swiss market is defecting to another fintech.
Hawk AI is poaching Georg Hauer from N26, where he runs the German-speaking region of Europe, according to a statement on Tuesday. Hauert will become operating and finance chief at Hawk AI, a Munich-based fintech devoted to combating money laundering.
Hawk AI in June raised $10 million which it plans to use to strengthen in Europe and the U.S. and expand to Singapore and the United Arab Emirates. The fintech aims to double its headcount by the end of next year.
Before joining N26 three years ago, Hauer managed Uber in Austria and was a consultant for Boston Consulting Group, focused on technology and digitalization projects.
