The Swiss wealth manager is placing its European business into new hands.

Geneva-based Lombard Odier is appointing Stéphane Herrmann as its CEO in Europe, effective immediately, it said in an emailed statement on Tuesday. He replaces Henry Fischel-Bock, who plans to retire at year-end.

Herrmann joined the Swiss wealth manager from Credit Suisse three years ago as operating chief and deputy of Lombard Odier in Europe. The bank lauded his expertise in European business and regulatory matters.

Lombard Odier combines its European activities – its branches include Belgium, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Spain, and the U.K. – in Luxembourg. The European business employs more than 200 people, 80 of whom are based in the grand duchy.
