The Geneva private bank Lombard Odier is pushing ahead with the expansion of its business with particularly wealthy private clients and entrepreneurial families. Effective January 1, 2027, Christina Stäger Ernst will take over as head of the Ultra-High-Net-Worth Individuals (UHNWI) and Single Family Offices (SFO) segment for German-speaking Switzerland.
The experienced private banker will be based in Zurich and report directly to Serge Fehr, partner and head of the Swiss market at Lombard Odier, the bank said on Tuesday.
More than 25 years of experience
With Stäger Ernst, Lombard Odier is gaining an executive with more than 25 years of experience in private banking and wealth management. She is joining from UBS, where she most recently served as managing director and desk head UHNW Switzerland Central. In that role, she led a team in the business with particularly wealthy Swiss clients and continued to advise selected clients personally.
Before that, Stäger Ernst spent 14 years as a senior relationship manager in the Global Family Office and Ultra-High-Net-Worth division at UBS.
She began her professional career, among other things, advising family offices, supporting them on strategic questions, building their structures and designing investment processes. She also worked as a consultant at McKinsey.
Strategic expansion in German-speaking Switzerland
The appointment underlines Lombard Odier's ambitions in its Swiss home market. In particular, the business with very wealthy families and single family offices is to be expanded further.
"Her deep understanding of the needs of ultra-high-net-worth families, her extensive experience in the Swiss market and her strong client focus will make a decisive contribution to further expanding our presence in German-speaking Switzerland," says Serge Fehr about the appointment.
With this appointment, Lombard Odier is strengthening its ability to serve families with complex wealth structures in particular. The segment of very wealthy private clients and single family offices is of strategic importance for the Swiss business.
Focus on entrepreneurial families
Lombard Odier positions itself in this business with an offering that combines classic investment advice and asset management with wealth planning, succession arrangements and family governance.
The Geneva private bank, which is owned by its managing partners, managed customer assets totaling 367 billion Swiss francs at the end of June 2026. Globally, the group employed 2,895 people at 26 locations in 19 countries at that time.
