A former executive at Pictet Alternatives Advisors joins Edmond de Rothschild Private Equity to spearhead the group's private equity digitization efforts. Other new roles were announced as well.

Charles Foucard joins Edmond de Rothchild's Private Equity team, assuming the role of Chief Operating Officer, the Geneva-based firm said in a statement Monday.

The firm is seeking to take advantage of what it sees as a favorable environment in private equity markets and the increasing attractiveness of the asset class for its private and institutional clients. 

Asset Class Democratization

Both new and existing projects will become the operational responsibility of Foucard including the launch of new products and the development of others such as Rothschild's digital subscription platform.

The efforts will «provide increased capacity to support 13 investment teams in the structuring of investment vehicles and to benefit from the democratization of the asset class», the statement went on to say.

Previously, Foucard was Chief Financial Officer and head of development strategy at Pictet Alternatives Advisors, having joined the firm in 2015 as a project director.

Additional New Roles

As part of the new organization, Matthieu Vercruysse becomes CECO of Edmond de Rothschild Private Equity Luxembourg.

Francois-Xavier Vucekovic has been appointed Chief Investment Officer of Edmond de Rothschild Private Equity responsible for portfolio and investment management., 

 

Edmond de Rothschild Private Equity has over 3.4 billion Swiss francs under management.
