Cembra is bringing in new leaders as it has to reinvent itself after ending its cooperation with retail giant Migros.

Cembra Money Bank is appointing Alona Eiduka as chief operating officer, effective immediately and Eric Anliker, as general counsel as from September, it said in a statement Wednesday.

The bank which specializes in credit cards and consumer loans will also reorganize its technology department into an individual unit as part of its focus on digitization. Chief transformation officer Christian Schmitt (picture below) will run the new department ad interim until a new head is announced, the statement said.

Eiduka has worked in various leadership roles with Cembra for ten years. In 2019, she became head of origination and was responsible for operations in customer onboarding and credit decisions for auto leasing and credit cards. Previously, Eiduka led the collections department at Cembra and GE Capital EMEA in Latvia.

Anliker was previously executive counsel at GE Capital International where he was also responsible for the legal and regulatory aspects of Cembra's IPO.
