Two former Credit Suisse executives will reunite to accelerate Rothschild & Co's growth course in Germany.

At the beginning of 2023, Thomas Henk joins Rothschild & Co to head its Duesseldorf wealth management office, taking over from Friedrich Rogge who will initially remain as co-head, «Private Banking Magazin» (in German) first reported.

Henk, most recently at Bethmann Bank, is experienced in this market through his previous position from 2007 to 2014 at Credit Suisse. At that time, he was responsible for the North Rhine-Westphalia branch of Switzerland's second-largest bank. Now he is to continue the growth course of Rothschild & Co in the region from the Rhineland to East Westphalia.

Long Credit Suisse Experience

The managing director of Rothschild & Co for wealth management Germany is another long-time Credit Suisse banker, Henrik Herr who was there from 2002 until 2020 and knows Henk.

Earlier this year, Herr said in a «Bloomberg» interview that Rothschild & Co was considering setting up a third wealth management branch in Germany.

Third Location Considered

In addition to the two offices in Frankfurt and Duesseldorf, the opening of a third location in Hamburg or Munich is under consideration. Herr did not disclose further details or a new status of the expansion plans when asked.
