After three decades at Helvetia, Philipp Gmuer is passing on the baton to take on new tasks outside the insurer.
Philipp Gmuer, CEO of Helvetia Group, is stepping down mid-2023, the insurer said in a statement Tuesday.
Gmuer, who has been CEO since 2016 is stepping down on his own accord, the statement said. The board of directors is looking for a successor.
As CEO, Gmuer had «driven forward the internationalization of the Group, the expansion of additional lines of business and the introduction of new business models in a targeted manner,» chair Thomas Schmuckli said in the statement.
