Following a retirement in September, an important position remained vacant at Credit Suisse's Asset Management Arm. Now, a new executive takes over the role in New York.

Scott Ebner becomes the new head of products at Credit Suisse Asset Management (CSAM), also becoming part of the asset management division's executive committee, according to an internal bank memo. He takes up the position on November 21 and will be New York-based.

Ebner succeeds Jo McCaffrey in the fund division. The latter was a newcomer to the bank, who took over as head of the fund business in the EMEA region due to a departure last September, as finews.com reported.

Stock Exchange Experience

Ebner has more than two decades of experience in product strategy and development for institutional and third-party banks, according to the memo. Before joining CSAM earlier this year, he held various product development positions at US rival State Street Global Advisors. Earlier career stops include exchange operators NYSE Euronext and NYSE American.

In his new role, Ebner will be responsible for the further development and implementation of the product strategy; in close cooperation with the investment and distribution divisions.
