A former UBS executive joins Zurich-based wealth advisor Zwei Wealth. His career took him from watches to banking.

Mathias Rohr becomes a partner at Zwei Wealth,  taking over as head of institutional clients, the wealth advisor announced Tuesday. His remit is to manage and expand cooperation with pension funds and foundations. This segment will play a central role in the expansion strategy of the company, which was co-founded by former UBS chief economist Klaus Wellershoff.

Watchmaking Apprentice

Rohr previously worked for UBS's investment bank in risk management in Zurich and London.  As head of sales for Switzerland, he supported institutional clients in their asset management for ten years and was most recently in charge of collective and joint institutions at the bank.

Before UBS, Rohr was at the private bank Julius Baer but came to banking through a second education. He completed his commercial apprenticeship at the Swiss watchmaker IWC.
