Zuercher Kantonal Bank appoints a new leader for its business unit that finances start-ups.

Michelle Tschumi becomes the new Head of start-up finance / Pioneer at the Zuercher Kantonalbank (ZKB) on January 1, 2023, succeeding Fabian Bamert, ZKB announced Thursday.

The 33-year-old Tschumi has been working for the bank for three and a half years, most recently as co-head of the innovation lab in the Multichannel Management division. Previously she gained experience as a digitalization specialist at Zuercher Kantonalbank and UBS.

«With her broad experience in a wide range of functions in innovation areas, her networking within the start-up scene, and her sound technical and communications training, Michelle Tschumi is ideally prepared for her new role,» said Patrick Sulser, Head of Corporate Finance.

Bamert, who departed ZKB at the end of November after a long career, developed the division since March 2021, expanding it with the launch of scale-up investments.
