Private bank UBP sees Asia as one of its key growth markets. Now the bank has appointed several relationship managers and a new team leader in Hong Kong, finews.com has learned.

Geneva-based private bank Union Bancaire Privée (UBP) hired a total of five relationship and senior relationship managers in Hong Kong, according to an internal memo obtained by finews.com.

According to the letter, Andrew Chin has taken over as head of the key North Asia region with China, effective April 11. He will report to UPB regional head Ivan Wong. Chin most recently worked at rival HSBC in the business for the super-rich.

From Credit Suisse and Julius Baer

Since the beginning of the year, Cindy Tam, Yvonne Yan, Carolina Lam, and Leo Chow have been working as client advisors, with some in senior roles at UBP in Hong Kong. Tam joined from Julius Baer, Yan from Credit Suisse, Lam from J. Safra Sarasin, and Chow from Deutsche Bank.
