Lombard Odier Investment Management and system change company Systemiq announce a partnership to invest in environmental transition.

Sustainable investing is a topic that is gaining increasing traction and is an effort that will require trillions of dollars to implement. To take advantage of that, Lombard Odier Investment Management (LOIM), the asset management unit of Lombard Odier, is deepening its partnership with Systemiq to launch holistiq investment partners, according to a statement Tuesday.

Operating as a new platform within LOIM, holistiq will dedicate itself exclusively to sustainable investing, combining Lombard Odier’s asset management resources with Systemiq’s analytics expertise in economic system transformation.

Five Trillion Dollars Annually

The sustainable investment opportunities are staggering. «To build a net positive global economy five to six trillion dollars of investment capital needs to be deployed across the world every year,» with most of it private capital, says Systemiq founding partner Jeremy Oppenheim.

By launching holistiq, the investment platform will concentrate on deploying its capital in energy, land, oceans, and materials, via investment strategies in public and private markets. It will have a pillar that is dedicated to nature-based initiatives.

holistiQ will be led jointly by Systemiq's managing partner Taraneh Azad, and LOIM's Jean-Pascal Porcherot, who heads asset management and will oversee a team of over 100, drawn from LOIM and Systemiq.
