After several personnel changes at Indoduez Wealth Management's Zurich branch, a long-standing and internationally experienced banker is taking the reins.

French wealth manager Indosuez Wealth Management appoints Andrey Batyukov as head of its Zurich office, to succeed Elvio Gasparin, who is retiring after more than three decades at the firm which is the global asset manager for Crédit Agricole Group, according to a statement Wednesday. 

Batyukov is tasked with strengthening the bank's presence in core markets, expanding business with external asset managers and institutional investors, and increasing collaboration with the Crédit Agricole Group's other Swiss-based units.

Diverse Career

The new Zurich head has more than 25 years of experience in wealth management and corporate and investment banking. He began his career in the structured trade finance department of the then Standard Bank London Limited. From 2004, he worked for BNP Paribas, where established and later headed the energy and commodities finance division of the Moscow branch.

In 2011, he moved to Geneva to serve as deputy head of the metals and mining team before joining the bank's wealth management division in 2014 as head of the Key Clients CIS & CEE market area. In August 2020, Batyukov joined Indosuez Wealth Management as head of the Eastern Europe desk with teams in Geneva and Zurich.
