After a brief guest appearance at UBS, former Credit Suisse IT chief Joanne Hannaford is moving to Deutsche Bank, research by finews.com shows.

Hannaford will become chief information officer (CIO) of its Corporate Bank in London early next year, the company announced internally on Monday. A UBS spokeswoman confirmed the departure.

Long Career

The Corporate Bank serves the needs of corporate clients, financial institutions, investors, and issuers in its Corporate Treasury Services, Institutional Client Services, and SME Business Client segments. Hannaford will also reportedly lead the bank's payments strategy in her new role.

She has a long IT career in the finance industry, as she detailed in an interview with finews.com. Most recently, she was Head of Americas Technology and Head of Wealth Management Americas at UBS; before that, she was Chief Technology and Operations Officer and a member of the Executive Board at Credit Suisse.

Over 25 Years at Goldman Sachs

Before joining Credit Suisse, she was a partner in the technology department of Goldman Sachs, where she held various key technology positions for 25 years.

Rafael Otero has led Deutsche Bank's technology department in the Corporate Bank for the past three years and will ensure a smooth transition.

Succession at UBS Settled

Further research by finews.com reveals that Heather Beckman has succeeded Hannaford immediately, taking over as head of the Wealth Management Group Operations Technology Office Americas at UBS.

Major Bank Experience in the US

Beckman joined UBS last year as Head of Group Functions Technology from JPMorgan, where she led the Global Finance and Treasury Technology teams. Before that, she spent two decades at Goldman Sachs in various technology leadership roles.

In her new role, Beckman continues to report to Mike Dargan and will work out of New York. UBS shared the information internally on Monday.
