The insurance sector is one of Vontobel’s strategic focus areas within its Institutional Clients business. In his new role, Emmanuel Archampong  will cover clients across Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. His responsibilities will include advisory services, business origination and specialist investment solutions. Vontobel plans to draw on its capabilities in fixed income, private markets and tailored investment solutions to expand the business.

Experience at Major Asset Managers

Most recently, Archampong was Head of Sales, UK Institutional & Insurance at Columbia Threadneedle Investments. He previously held senior insurance-focused positions at Wells Fargo Asset Management, Royal London Asset Management and J.P. Morgan Asset Management.

At Vontobel, he will report to Christoph von Reiche, Head of Institutional Clients. «Emmanuel’s expertise and deep understanding of insurers’ investment and regulatory needs will help us leverage Vontobel’s broad investment capabilities across liquid and private markets, as well as solutions, to better serve this important client segment,» von Reiche said in the statement.
