Vontobel has appointed Marc Bindschädler as head of client portfolio management for its equities and multi-asset investment teams, the firm told finews.com.

Bindschädler assumed the newly created role in October. In his new role, Bindschädler will oversee and steer the client portfolio management activities for all equity and multi-asset strategies within Vontobel’s institutional client asset management. He retains his responsibilities as client portfolio manager for the mtx Emerging Markets equity strategies and reports to Lanny Cresta, head of client centre.

Moves between UBS, SAM and Vontobel

Bindschädler has spent nearly 30 years in the asset management industry. He joined Vontobel in 2011 as a senior relationship manager. 

Before that, he was a product specialist in sustainable investing at UBS and spent four years as a relationship manager at SAM Sustainable Asset Management. He began his career as an apprentice at UBS and later moved into junior relationship manager and sales manager roles at UBS Global Asset Management.
