An Experienced Trio Is Launching Fixed-Income Strategies in Geneva
A new independent asset manager is launching several UCITS sub-funds. The firm in question is Bluedot, a company founded in 2025 and based in Geneva, which has also held a Finma licence as a manager of collective assets since the second quarter of 2026.
The three founders, however, are no novices; they have been active in the banking sector for decades. Philippe Kellerhals and Benoit Brochart act as Co-CIOs. The third founder is Arnaud Loechleiter, Head of Business Development, who is also responsible for distribution to Swiss institutional clients. Cyril Chalot, Head of Compliance, also works for Bluedot.
In an interview with finews, Loechleiter notes that a Sales Manager is also to be recruited.
Silex, Exane and BNP Paribas
Loechleiter worked for Silex and subsequently Axiom Alternative Investments (Switerland) in Investment Solutions Sales in Geneva from 2017 to 2025. The independent French asset manager Axiom Alternative Investments had acquired Silex Investment Managers (Suisse)– and with it the bond funds of the Silex Group – in March 2025. Loechleiter's previous roles were with Union Capital Group and Exane, also in the sale of investment solutions.
His line manager at Silex was Kellerhals, who established the fixed-income asset management division there. Prior to that, Kellerhals worked for Cairn Capital/Polus Capital and for BNP Paribas.
Focus on Publicly Traded Bonds
Brochart was also responsible for the equity portfolio management at Silex. However, he left the asset manager as early as 2021 to co-found a hedge fund focused on alternative strategies. Brochart also brings experience from Unigestion and Calyon.
Bluedot focuses on active investment in the fixed-income sector, with the focus on publicly traded government and corporate bonds, active duration management and flexible allocation across major segments. The team has accumulated a deep knowledge of credit markets, including a long-standing experience in hybrid securities.
Favourable Environment for Active Fixed-Income
Bluedot plans to launch its first products at the end of September. These comprise four UCITS funds with various fixed-income strategies, which cover a wide range of institutional investors’ needs and are predominantly focused on international bond markets. However, one fund will have Swiss franc as its base currency, aiming to better address Swiss investors CHF fixed income needs.
«We expect to be able to raise around 250 to 300 million euros initially», says Loechleiter confidently. He adds that the environment for active fixed-income strategies is currently favourable. «Interest rates have risen, and there are many opportunities that we can capitalise on for our investors.»
