Sustainable Fixed-Income Boutique Strengthens its Team
The asset manager ESG-AM, which specializes in sustainable investments in the bond segment, is expanding its staff. It has created the role of Head of Business Development and recruited Christian Zoss for the position. With this addition, ESG-AM is responding to the growing demands of institutional investors for differentiated fixed-income credit solutions, according to a statement released on Thursday.
The new role is intended to help expand the company’s position as a provider of sustainable credit strategies in the DACH region and to continue growing. The financial boutique also appears satisfied with the progress already achieved: "2026 is the most successful fiscal year in ESG-AM’s corporate history so far." The team is also scheduled to be further strengthened in the first half of 2027.
Former Head of Investments at Avadis Vorsorge
In addition to his investment expertise, Zoss brings many years of experience in developing business with institutional investors. Until September, he worked at Swiss financial services provider Avadis Vorsorge, most recently as Head of Investments and a member of the executive board.
It became known in July that he was leaving Avadis after more than ten years "to take on a new professional challenge" (finews reported). Zoss started his career in 2001 in UBS Global Custody, followed by positions at, among others, Lombard Odier Asset Management and State Street Global Advisors.
Active management with sustainability criteria included
ESG-AM CEO Philipp Good commented on the appointment: "His experience will help us drive our growth strategy forward in a targeted way and further strengthen our position as a specialized provider of sustainable credit strategies. Over the past five years, we have successfully established ourselves in the market with our products and our investment approach. Now we want to enter the next phase of growth, which is why we will also invest specifically in expanding our team in 2027."
Zoss, for his part, clearly already fully shares the credo of ESG-AM, founded in 2021: "I am convinced that active management is a decisive success factor in credit investments and that the systematic integration of sustainability criteria can make a valuable contribution to well-founded investment decisions."
