Leadership change at LGT Capital Partners

LGT Capital Partners is getting a new head: Sascha Gruber will take over as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on January 1, 2027, according to a press release issued on Thursday.

He succeeds Roberto Paganoni, who has led the company since its founding in 1998. The appointment is still subject to regulatory approval.

Gruber has worked for LGT Capital Partners since 2002 and has been a member of the executive management and various investment committees for many years. In particular, he helped shape the private markets business and the secondary market strategy, it added. He was also involved in the company’s international expansion, especially in North and South America.

Paganoni will move to the Group Holding Board of LGT Capital Partners. Under his leadership, the company developed into a global alternative investment manager with assets under management of more than $120 billion. According to the company, LGT Capital Partners serves more than 750 institutional investors and employs around 1,000 people at 16 locations worldwide.

The company based in Pfäffikon belongs to the princely family of Liechtenstein. It further emphasized that the existing strategy is to be continued under the new leadership.
