Julius Baer has appointed new relationship managers in the U.K. and Ireland to help boost its business on the two islands. They are joined by a new head of supervision, hired from Standard Chartered.

Julius Baer, the Zurich-based private bank, has hired Rupert Watkins to strengthen the U.K.-based team of relationship managers. Watkins will focus on U.K.-based clients and joins from Barclays, where he spent the past five years, Baer said in a statement today. He previously worked for Credit Suisse in a similar capacity.

David Forrest has joined the Dublin-based team, also as a relationship manager. He will focus on Ireland-based residents. Forrest previously worked at Davy's private client division, the Swiss bank reported.

Head of Supervision in London

Julius Baer U.K. and Ireland also appointed Sandhya Munsami as head of supervision. She will be based in London. Munsami spent eight years working for Standard Chartered Private Bank, with her most recent role being head of business controls and supervision in London.

The three new Julius Baer bankers will report to Rob Woodthorpe Browne, the head of relationship management U.K. and Ireland, the bank said.
