The consulting firm named a new head of actuarial services, poached from the world's second-largest reinsurer.

Mazars is naming Olivia Gradenwitz as head of actuarial services, effective immediately, it said in an emailed statement. Gradenwitz joins from Swiss Re, where she spent the last year in a transformation role in at the reinsurer's life and health arm.

Previously Gradenwitz, a Swiss life and health actuary who has a degree is maths, was with PwC for more than 11 years. Her hire at Mazars reflects the consulting firm's ambitions to expand its services for insurers, it said.
