An executive responsible for Credit Suisse's Swiss property portfolio joins the boutique Nova Property Fund Management firm. 

Reto Ehinger joins Nova Property Fund Management as its new chief investment officer (CIO) and member of the executive board. The company is based in Pfaeffikon on the Canton of Schwyz and manages five portfolios with a total of 3.5 billion Swiss francs in Swiss real estate assets, according to a statement Wednesday.

He succeeds Roland Suesstrunk, who will continue his professional career outside the company. Ehinger will take up his new post on April 1, subject to the approval of the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (Finma).

Real Estate Experience

Ehinger has over two decades of experience in the real estate business. After several years with Winterthur Insurance (now Axa), he joined the fund arm of Credit Suisse (CSAM) in real estate in Switzerland in 2006, during which time he held various management positions. In his post as head of real estate in Switzerland, he is responsible for a Swiss-wide real estate portfolio worth over 32 billion francs.
