Two experienced client advisors have moved from a Swiss private bank to the up-and-coming Zurich-based asset manager Lumen Capital, finews.com has learned.

Marco Rollero and Andreas Sigg, two long-time private bankers, recently joined Zurich-based asset manager Lumen Capital (Switzerland) as partners, a spokesperson for the company confirmed to finews.com.

They have a few things in common. Both have been in the profession for at least 30 years, previously working at RBS Coutts Bank and for Bank Syz in Zurich for the past 13 years before joining Lumen Capital in February.

 International Clientele

Sigg has been in the financial industry for over four decades, working for over 30 years at RBS Coutts Bank, initially in investment banking, including as head of foreign exchanges, and for ten years as a relationship manager with international private clients, gaining experience in London, New York, and Paris. For the last 13 years, he was responsible for high-net-worth international private clients at Syz.

Rollero has been in the financial industry for over 30 years, working for 14 years at RBS Coutts Bank in Zurich, Hong Kong, and Singapore as a foreign exchange specialist and advisor to high-net-worth clients. He spent the last 13 years servicing private clients at Syz.

Singapore Roots

Lumen Capital (Switzerland) has its roots in Singapore, where Lumen Capital Investors (LCI) was founded in 2011 by former local Julius Baer CEO, Wilfried Kofmehl. In December 2021, the legally independent company Lumen Capital was formed in Switzerland, with both working closely together in areas like research. Kofmehl serves as chairman of both companies.

«We are confident that our platform is ready to welcome more partners on board,» Kofmehl told finews.com. Although still in its infancy in Switzerland, the firm says it has great growth potential. Lumen Capital (Switzerland) is under the operational management of former long-time UBS executive Andreas Luder, who serves as CEO and is a co-owner.

What's in a Name?

«I now want to use my many years of experience in wealth management in my own company by looking after the interests of clients and treating their financial needs as if they were my own,» Luder said.

In selecting a name for the firm, it chose the Latin term for «light».
