UBS is poaching a portfolio manager from a US-based global investment firm for a senior position within its global wealth management’s chief investment office.

UBS is hiring Ulrike Hoffmann-Burchardi as head CIO Equities for its global wealth management’s chief investment office, effective October 23, it said in an internal memo Wednesday. Hoffmann-Burchardi joins UBS from Tudor Investment Corporation, where she worked as a senior partner.

Based in Zurich, Hoffmann-Burchardi will have direct influence over UBS’s equity allocation on behalf of ultra-high-net-worth clients and will report to Chief Investment Officer Mark Haefele.

Hoffmann-Burchardi was recently presented with the Managed Funds Association inaugural Women’s Investment Leadership Award and was named among Barron’s 100 Most Influential Women in Finance in 2022 and 2023, the memo said.
