Swiss banking giant UBS has a new chief information officer. He is based in Singapore where he previously worked for Standard Chartered.

Michael Dargan is the new chief information officer of UBS. Dargan will be in charge of UBS group technology from mid-September, a UBS spokeswoman said, confirming a «Reuters» report.

Dargan comes from Standard Chartered Bank where he worked since 2009 in Singapore. Most recently, Dargan led the technology side of the British bank.

Dargan takes over from Oliver Bussmann, who left UBS (article in German) in April as part of a reorganization at the bank. Dargan will report directly to COO Axel Lehmann.
