Following its successful launch of bitcoin trading, online bank Swissquote added four other digital currencies to its investment offering.

Bitcoin has featured prominently in the media and among investors the past couple of months and reached a valuation of as much as $20,000 – currently the crypto-currency is worth about $19,000.

Swissquote, an online bank based in Gland, has offered bitcoin on its platform since July. Now, the bank is adding ethereum, litecoin, ripple and bitcoin cash to its investment portfolio, the company said in a statement today.

Swissquote said that with the five currencies available for purchase on its trading platform, the company had the broadest offering of virtual currencies.

The minimum amount necessary to make a transaction is $5 or 5 euros, the maximum $500,000 or 500,000 euros. The cost of making a transaction varies from 0.5 percent to 1 percent of the invested amount, depending on the total value.
