Leonteq, the Swiss derivatives specialist, nominated a banker with experience from Asia and the U.K. for election to the board of directors. Vince Chandler has decided to step down.

Susana Gomez Smith (pictured left) has accepted the nomination by Leonteq to take a seat on its board. The banker with dual citizenship of Portugal and the U.K. will take the place of Vince Chandler, the Zurich-based company said in a statement.

Gomez Smith, 46, was a managing director at Santander in the U.K. in the five years through 2018. Previously, she spent time in Asia, first with Citigroup in Hong Kong and later as an adviser to the CEO of Banco Nacional Ultramarino in Macau.

Leonteq also said that it would nominate a replacement for Paulo Bruegger in due course. Bruegger, who was the representative of Raiffeisen on the board of Leonteq, stepped down in February. He was one of the top brass at the retail bank who left during the clean-up that followed the investigation of former CEO Pierin Vincenz.
