Credit Suisse tops a list of best-paying companies in Britain, in a ranking dominated by banking and tech firms.

The Swiss bank is the most generous employer in Britain, according to a study by recruiting website Glass Door. Media pay at Credit Suisse in the U.K. is £90,000 ($114,100), including fixed salary and bonus.

The Zurich-based bank beat out German tech giant SAP, Deutsche Bank, Facebook, and Standard Chartered in the ranking. «It is no surprise that multinational tech and finance firms dominate the list, given that both industries compete fiercely for talent, especially when it comes to tech roles,» said John Lamphiere of Glassdoor.

The data is based on an unknown number of bankers who submitted their pay details to Glass Door, a recruiting website, in the last year. Credit Suisse CEO Tidjane Thiam won a 30 percent pay jump to 12.65 million Swiss francs ($12.5 million) last year, his fourth year on the job.

McKinsey Ponies Up

UBS comes in at ninth place, while Google rounds out the top ten. Credit Suisse's open London jobs include an algorithmic product developer, an analyst for its delta one trading desk, and a market data developer.

Consulting firm McKinsey, in 13th place, is the highest-ranking firm which is not a financial or tech company. The Swiss bank forms the upper end of the £61,000 to £90,000 pay band in the U.K. Glass Door said.
