Real estate firm Walde & Partner has added a new member to its board. The property market expert has closed links to the financial market in Zurich.
Walde & Partner, which is based in Zollikon near Zurich, appointed Jan Eckert to the board of directors, it said in a statement on Tuesday (statement in German). Eckert is the chief executive officer of Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) Switzerland and reputedly one of the deal-makers with the best connections in the Swiss real estate realm.
Before joining JLL, Eckert worked as head real estate at Sal. Oppenheim Corporate Finance.
The Links to Credit Suisse
Eckert advised Credit Suisse on the sale of the house Grieder in Zurich to Swatch, the Swiss watchmaking giant. He also was involved in the sale of the Ueetlihof property of Credit Suisse.
Eckert will help Walde & Partner thanks to his years of experience, knowledge in digitization and formidable network in the property market, said Gerhard Walde, chairman of the company, according to the statement.
