An ex-Credit Suisse banker has been nominated to take a seat on the executive committee of Basellandschaftliche Kantonalbank, where an experienced manager has decided to leave.

Manuel Kunzelmann will step down as head of strategy at Basellandschaftliche Kantonalbank (BLKB). The 45-year-old banker is set to take on a new challenge after ten years at the bank, it said in a statement on Friday.

Alexandra Lau will take over his duties. The promotion of the current head of legal and compliance needs approval from the board and means that the 39-year-old banker will take a seat on the executive committee of the regional bank.

At her previous employer, Credit Suisse, Lau worked in risk management. She joined BLKB in 2017. John Haefelfinger, the chief executive of BLKB, had made the same move a year earlier.
