New chief operating officer Roger Sandmeier will contribute to the expansion of finews' platforms in Europe as well as Asia. His role is to improve the connectivity of editorial, marketing, and information technology.

At more than 650,000 readers in Europe and Asia, finews' platforms have advanced to a leading online media for the financial services industry – and continue to grow strongly, as the most recent Google Analytics data illustrates.

In response to the growth, finews is formalizing its structure with the hire of Roger Sandmeier as chief operating officer. His role is to ensure a seamless workflow between the newsroom, marketing, and technology.

European, Asian Expansion

Sandmeier worked for several communications agencies as an art and creative director. He joined Swiss branding agency Facing in Zurich in 2007, where he was most recently CEO overseeing the budgets of key clients like Coop, Transgourmet, and law firm Niederer Kraft Frey.

At finews, Sandmeier will oversee marketing, information technology, and finances, with a particular emphasis on the company's branding. «We're excited to have Roger Sandmeier's profound knowledge and extensive experience in marketing and branding to continue to promote finews' international growth,» co-founder and CEO Claude Baumann said. «As COO, he will link the newsroom with our commercial side.»
