The Swiss unit of Axa has added an economist and consultant to its executive board with responsibility for customer experience and strategy.

Andreea Prange was appointed head of customer experience and strategy at Axa Switzerland, the Winterthur-based unit of the French insurer. Prange, 42, joins from Swiss rival Zurich Insurance, according to a statement released on Tuesday.

The digital expert with dual Romanian-German citizenship started her career at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants following her economics degree taken in Bucharest.

Digital Business Expertise

Having worked in several positions within marketing and IT, Prange took a management job at Telefónica, the telecommunications firm. In 2014, she joined the Swiss unit of Zurich Insurance, where she became head of marketing in 2016 and for a while was responsible for the digital business.

At Axa, Prange replaces Mirjam Bamberger, who was appointed CEO of Axa Luxembourg.
