A banker with experience from UBS and Credit Suisse has been given the task of assembling a team of relationship managers for Quintet, Switzerland’s newest private bank.

The Swiss private bank Quintet, which is being controlled by the Qataris, appointed André Del Piero as market head for domestic Switzerland, according to a statement released on Monday. He has more than three decades of experience in banking.

His last position was as head of UHNWI and single family offices for the German-speaking region at BNP Paribas Wealth Management (Switzerland). At Quintet, Del Piero will put together a «first-class» team of relationship managers and focus on clients and their families based in Switzerland.

Experience With Rich Families

He previously worked as head premium clients in the central Swiss region at Credit Suisse and was a member of the regional executive committee. He also was managing director of a single-family office based in the German-speaking region of Switzerland.

At UBS wealth management, Del Piero focused on wealthy Swiss clients. He has years of experience in the strategic and holistic advisory of wealthy families and their family offices.

Great Hopes

Quintet harbors great hopes for the Swiss market, where some 500,000 millionaires are living. Quintet is now active in 50 cities across the continent – including Copenhagen, where the company opened a new country representation at the beginning of the month.
