The Geneva-based private bank has snagged an investment specialist from UBS, as it expands its funds advisory team in Singapore.

Pictet is hiring Karen Tan as an executive director, fund specialist advisory, «Citywire Asia» reported on Friday. The move was confirmed in an email from a spokesperson for the Swiss wealth mananger.

Her hire follows the relocation of Pictet senior fund analyst Sébastien Gentizon back to the firm's Geneva office, following four years in Singapore, where he was responsible for the bank’s global, Asian, emerging markets and Japan equity funds selection, according to the report.

Tan has over a decade of experience in the private banking industry, with specific expertise in managed products advisory and portfolio analysis. Before her three-year stint at UBS, Tan spent six years at Deutsche Bank as a fund specialist and mandate consultant. She was previously at the Bank of Singapore, HSBC, and Merrill Lynch.
