Swiss banking group Valiant is building a new team of wealth managers for the region around the capital of Bern, where its headquarters are.

At the beginning of January, Roger Broennimann took over the management of Valiant's investment advisory services in the Seeland/Sense market area, according to a statement on Wednesday. He is to build up a wealth advisory team in his region, which includes 14 branches from Murten to Solothurn.

Broennimann is a financial planner with a federal certificate. In his professional career, he has held positions including department head at Coop, sales manager at Valora, and customer adviser and financial planner at Basler Versicherungen.

Strategy 2020 to 2024

Before joining Valiant, he worked in wealth management at UBS Fribourg and Murten. His native language is German, and he is also fluent in French.

As part of its strategy from 2020 to 2024, Valiant is expanding its investment and pension business. The financial services provider plans to hire 40 additional specialists.
