Mortgage boutique Hyrock has significantly increased the business volumes – and is expanding the group of partners in Geneva and Zurich.

Mortgage specialist Hyrock, which was founded by ex-Julius Baer banker Alessandro Carroccia, is appointing four new partners. The startup said Wednesday it promoted Anh-Hung Pham, Tanguy Bonbled and Reto Bernet at its Zurich office and Michèle Couraudon-Graf in Geneva. The new partners have also taken a stake in the company, Hyrock added.

Reaching a Milestone

Pham is in charge of risk management and the mortgage management division. Bonbled is responsible for the advisory division in Zurich and for further business development in German-speaking Switzerland. Bernet heads mortgage investment and is responsible for real estate valuation. Finally, Couraudon-Graf is responsible for Western Switzerland and heads the Geneva office. Like Carroccia, she had previously worked for Zurich-based real estate services provider Avobis.

Hyrock also reported considerable growth. According to the company, 850 million francs ($958 million) in new mortgages were placed throughout Switzerland last year. Two-thirds were traditional mortgages, and about one-third were non-traditional loans such as bridging and post-petition financing. This brings the total of mortgages placed by Hyrock since its launch in October 2018 to more than 1.8 billion francs, it said.
