A change in management is on the cards at Swiss payment service provider Twint: The current chief information officer has announced his departure.

Paul Kreis, chief information officer (CIO) of Twint, is leaving the company. The payment service provider must now look for a successor, it said in a statement Thursday.

Kreis was only confirmed in office as IT chief in May 2020, making him one of three members of the core management team. He was responsible for the technical operation of the app as well as for the further development of the product.

On the Hunt for Skilled Employees

Kreis will ensure the transition to his successor and will not leave the company for several months, the statement added. The search for a successor has been initiated.

Due to its rapid growth, the company is currently seeking and hiring many skilled employees and is building structures that will provide services internally that have previously been purchased externally, Twint added. The company today has more than 3 million registered users, making it the most widely used payment solution in Switzerland.
