The head of compliance at Credit Suisse’s Swiss unit has left the bank after just four months in the post.

The head of compliance at Credit Suisse’s Swiss Universal Bank, Floriana Scarlato, has left the company with immediate effect, the bank said Monday.

The press release said she would be pursuing a new challenge outside the bank and that an announcement on her successor would be made in due course.

Scarlato was also a member of the Management Committee of the SUB and from the Executive Board of Credit Suisse (Switzerland) Ltd.

With Credit Suisse Since 2005

Scarlato joined Credit Suisse in 2005 and before moving to the SUB was chief compliance officer for the International Wealth Management Division. She succeeded Erwin Grob who took over as head of Core Compliance.

Raft of Departures

Last April Credit Suisse’s corporate chief compliance officer, Lara Warner, resigned in the wake of the Greensill and Archegos debacles. The banks’ new chairman, Antonio Horta-Osorio, has made fixing the bank’s risk management problems his top priority.

On Friday, news agencies reported that Credit Suisse had created a new risk management department at its investment bank to be headed by Amélie Perrier.

Over the last few weeks, many of Credit Suisse’s investment bankers have jumped ship after the hit it suffered from the collapse of the Archegos Capital hedge fund.
