Neue Privat Bank is hiring five bankers for offices in Zurich and Abu Dhabi as part of its growth strategy and expansion in the Middle East.

Zurich-based Neue Privat Bank is hiring Tom Govaerts as a partner and managing director as well as Simone Poysden who will strengthen the bank’s legal and compliance team as a senior legal compliance officer, according to a statement Friday. Both will be located at the bank’s Zurich headquarters.

Govaerts joins the bank from EFG Bank where was a relationship manager for over ten years, while Poysden was previously employed by the Swiss Financial Standards Association.

Middle East Expansion

Neue Privat Bank (NPB) entered joint venture with Cyprus-based investment firm Almha Limited, earlier this year to offer wealth advisory services in the United Arab Emirates. NPB (Middle East) is now hiring Amritaanshu Agrawal, Nathan Dodson and Rebecca Thomson. Agrawal is joining as a partner and will head private banking operations in the region. Agrawal joins the boutique private bank from Mirabaud where he was an executive director.

Dodson takes on the role as global head of advisory after having working for Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank and Coutts & Co. in London. Thomson was previously a relationship manager and executive director and has over ten years of experience in international private banking and investment advisory.
