The British bank is bolstering its investment management team in Geneva with a series of hires.

London-based HSBC is appointing Karl Faivre as head of investments and wealth solutions for Europe, Middle East, and Africa including Switzerland, it said in a statement on Wednesday. Faivre was previously its regional investments and wealth solutions chief.

HSBC's Swiss bank also named Alexander Neil as head of equity advisory to strengthen its stock-picking. A sell-side veteran, Neil joined HSBC in Geneva three years ago from EFG International.

The bank is also appointing Cristiano Mendes as a structured product specialist in Switzerland. He joins from Barclays' wealth arm, and previously worked for UBS as well as Lombard Odier.
